With age we tend to go from loving speed to a barely tolerating impatience. The need to express ourselves is consistently present but rarely truly engaging to others.
Repeating the dictates large corporations, political persons, medical persons, and legal officers insist for our “safety” cause anxiety, in an ongoing belief system that does not require temperance or kindness.
On another note, AI is speeding up to handle our medical; i.e., synthetic human parts, our concepts, that we may be struggling with, to express. Experts can no longer be the truly accountable. Does a Ph.D. make you kind?
The existential and the absurd are the best we can grow into. The Western word “focus” is where we meet with the Eastern concept of “presence”.
There is a cemetery that has “Something as Universal as Death must be a blessing” as a welcome sign. To be blessed with truly knowing the connection we all share, is better than letting the overwhelming description of those in power bring separateness with the concept of safety.
Socrates and Plato said “Philosophy is the preparation for Death”.
