We struggle with trying to be fair and sympathetic to any special interest group. But listening has its limits. When you belong to a group, you must justify your belief systems. Generally this means denigrating someone else’s belief system. As groups provide security, this is a dilemma. The popularity of meditation is the victor over praying. To the victor goes the spoils. Just stumble along, trying the repetition that suits you best, and surround yourself with friends that will let you do this.
