The emotional and responsible do a dance of passion, torture, and insight.
The original battle of Hera and Zeus shows us that the human condition needs imagination and restriction. We are enacting this at the moment with the “me too” idea. We all want both. But, life only allows for a moment in time to contain both beauty, magic and commitment. The foible of a philandering Zeus is the creative quest for new exciting experiences.
Today’s propaganda believers do not want to collect, they want to experience. Well, this also undermines the power of seduction and the moments that are enjoyable and frightening. Collecting is a part of desire. To contain the balance is what is most needed. Older folks are jealous and competitive with youth. With age comes the perspective but the passion can disappear.
Zeus thought of so many wonderful ways to seduce. The worst was when he lost interest. What Hera did when cheated on, was up the ante and destroy what Zeus created. Do you see the dichotomy?
