Zoroaster said “good thoughts, good words, good deeds.” If we could manage that, we would have the calm we desire. But, it is a fight. He may have been the first who recognized the extremism of polar opposites. Light vs dark and good vs evil is the emotional roller coaster of most of us. Maybe gray is so popular today because of this ongoing dilemma. Of course many feel that manifesting through this fashion is accepting the status quo. What is the extremism of the polarization of today? It is cyclical. Belief systems demand subservience. Most of us just want what we need to be content. But so many will often criticize, if the belief is not worded the same.
The Puritans came to escape the demanding philosophies of the parties in power. Many came through force as the Africans who were taken by their own enemies to profit from Europeans that enslaved. But slavery was the fashion for many centuries. When folks went to war in the spring to take what their neighbors had acquired, if there was nothing to take, the human energy was what was left to obtain. Every continent did this.
Is there truly anyone alive today that can be responsible for the past? The system of acquiring anything usually means it is taken away from someone else. Do those in power today keep their power by giving it away?
If we can acknowledge and move on, the turmoil is lessened.
