Hope is the ingredient in storytelling that gives us courage. Entertainment, theater and religion have always had the perspective of encouragement to nudge us on. Pandora realized this.
The passage of time, (Saturn), is honored with rituals for the young. Which rituals are there for midlife and old age? Wouldn’t it be nice to have guidelines to ease our way towards mortality? There is the concept of reincarnation and how our relationships in this lifetime are repeated so we can enhance our purpose.
Purpose can be confounding. Can it be so simple as showing up and listening? We do all provide for others, even through discord. In fact, getting up and going somewhere requires energy and thoughtlessness. As in the urge to pick new flowers. If we ruminate too long on the pros and cons of our actions, we might not go anywhere. And the greatest gift of all, to listen. Maybe we comment, maybe not, but actively listening and I do not mean to political rhetoric, is the greatest honor to another’s perception.
This change moving into 2018 has much hope but requires structure. Like football or ballet dancing, the discipline required is tremendous. Particularly as the rules are radically changing. Do not give in to lethargy. And try and stay off the net, it is not a safety net.
