Saturn and Neptune
Saturn is the ancient chief of the Gods. He is represented by the old man with the scythe who leaves at years end. He knows when to enter and when to exit. The natural law is his domain. He was also a lover of power, which is why he ate his children so they could not dethrone him. Kronos or Time is his symbol.
Acceding to his mother Gaia’s demands, Saturn castrated his father Uranus, Gaia was distressed that Uranus would not honor their children. Ouranos means Sky or the celestial sphere. The airways that control our world are in the sky.
To have control over others is exhilarating but defeating. The Buddhist statues often show passion and compassion mating while standing. On equal footing. We all seem to want to know more than someone else, which is why, there are so many languages. Legalese, doctorese, political speak, culture fashionista, and what used to be sardonic irony. Black, wry, shocking of opposing opinions are no longer available. The only thing that is operable is how loud and how often.
Neptune is the God of the sea and the irrational. The honoring of that which is illogical used to be a concept of appreciation for flipping pain into humor. The clown trips over his enormous shoes. The shoes are a neptunium idea as the feet are his symbol, the sole and the soul. With Saturn in Pisces, (Neptunes sign) we need to blend indomitable law and willpower with illusion and hope. How often have you heard lately to stay grounded? Is that because we are constantly in the airwaves with internet, streaming and scrolling? Water, Neptune is without boundaries or borders. Can we really be comfortable with so many languages and victimhood running rampant?
I try and ask for what I need and not necessarily what I want. The longing is for better quality of writing and reading.
