Have always been intrigued and enamored of Velasquez painting of Mars in the Prado and his Venus in National Gallery London. Sad they are not next to each other, as it seems to me they are listening and talking to each other after exciting satisfying sex. If you notice Mars is sitting on a large pink drape covered by a blue one and Venus is on a large Blue cloth surrounded by pink. Ironic Venus was attacked by a woman in 1914. Reality exists only in any given moment, like truth, it is all in the point of view. The emotions at work in Reality TV, mostly seem to be about the war between interpersonal relationships. Where is the romance? Stories come from a feeling in the gut, that sees variables that inspire us to keep going.
Beauty And The Beast is a wonderful tale of learning to love. Don Quixote, Man of La Mancha is the hero's tale of fighting an illusion that is made beautiful through desire. Written during the time of chivalry, Quixote embodies the idea of romance. We know when a story rings true, just as we know when we feel our heart let go and love.
We are in the time of year of Hope and Persephone coming up from below and there can never be enough flowers.
