John Henry Fuseli: The Nightmare (1781)
The moon represents the unconscious. It is the unconditional love of the Mother. The new moon in Taurus is exalted. A very good time to observe the irrational thoughts and behaviors. The idea of numinous, is the moment you integrate the intellect with a specific feeling. How you see the unknowable. This experience is assuredly the most precious of our existence and points to the knowingness of an interconnection with an atom to the universe. “As above, so below”.

Why do we love mysteries and puzzles?

Moving and change are everywhere and unstoppable. As usually, there is no control or even pre knowledge, we fool ourselves thinking we can direct or control. Most of us like comfort of some sort. Lots of pillows, a person who agrees with our point of view, or a full belly. The normal way you obtain this, is going to be disrupted. Learn new ways to enjoy and feed yourself with information.

Any subject we choose to contemplate, elaborate, and pontificate on, is usually a splinter in our brain. If being fair, or equal, or speaking the truth, is your bailiwick, then be sure what starts your engine will have one of these, as the spark. None of these qualities are without a hitch. Like the puzzle of the ephemeral shape of clouds, perception mutates. Blame is an action to explore. When we are pushed to react to another’s suggestion, we will blame, if the effect is not useful, or possibly harmful. But, we always have the choice to decide. See where blame, like accidents, may be a revolving door.

The perpetrator in mysteries usually has one or both, of two motives. Sex or money. One is totally chemistry, the other is more tangible but harder to comprehend.

Often our focus intensifies with a particular issue that is ruffling our feathers. Justifiable purpose steps in. A quote from “The godfather”, “gratitude erodes faster than beauty” makes the point that we are never given enough kudos. And when we are, we may not trust it.

Remember the moon and her reflective light. At her best, she allows us to see between the layers of consciousness.
