What is the difference between fear and laziness? We don't come out of the womb laughing, and yet many people are inspired to see the bright side of things and their confidence is striking.

Recently, I met a young lady with terrible physical handicaps, her choice was to go out and compete in the world arena. Don't we all wish to have a bit of that magic? The struggle to orient with this attitude is available to everyone.
In myth, Pluto, the God of the Dead, is not so scary to his wife Persephone. She enjoys the protection and raw energy of his power. With Demeter, the Goddess of Spring as her Mother, where did she get this craving for bright shiny things in the dark? We all have these many characters from myth and fairy tales inherent in our being. It is not either/or, it is accepting non-duality. In the words of Ekhart Tolle: “The truth of who we are is never found in the past or the future, it is here, now, immediate.”
