How real is science fiction?  Like religion, myth or fairytale, it has its moments, it speaks to the heart.  One could say, the world we live in today is all about taking the facts of science and feeling our way blindfolded.

The art of alchemy was based in the idea of turning one thing into another.  Like the frog who needed to be kissed to become a prince.  Math, Music and Movement can alter the meanderings of our thought patterns.

The fifth element in Alchemy was Ether.  It is not Air, Fire, Earth or Water.  As a visual, I think of smoke that curls and weaves.  The internet has this spinning perception and is enhanced by speed.  We often see life as speeding up as we age.  At different ages we perceive and integrate different perspectives.  Too much time alone creates paranoia.  We need to show up and talk to each other,  human contact is imperative.  Do you hear what another is saying to you?  In acting, the art of listening is an active process.

Antennae are not just a pair on top of your head.  They sprout from every atom in our genetic code.  We want to put a stamp on our lives and influence those around us.  Ideas that we implement are what separate us from apes.  They have their hierarchy and concepts but perhaps their need for dominance is fleeting.  Social sciences and anthropology studies this discipline.

This new Moon in Scorpio is requiring serious detective research.

Mary -- I really enjoy your website. And it has been fun to see the beautiful photos of you, looking just as you did at Wykeham, but so much more glamorous. I now live in Belfast, ME (not far from Acadia National Park, Mt Desert Island, -- mid-coast), teach a little Latin, write poetry, find ways to get by. I hope that your are flourishing in all ways. Rebecca

I love mythological creatures! People really thought they were real even though they could not see them, especially dragons. The Japanese say that there is a dragon spirit in every waterfall. This new moon felt very special, a time of endings and new beginnings.

Really working hard since 11/10 to connect my antennas to my atoms. Really having a fierce appreciation for the detective work during this new moon. A sister write to me with a question. How do I work with the things within me that I cannot see? Love you and your wisdom MM.
